In 'A Casa da Árvore', Dora, a 45-year-old biologist, lives alone in an isolated house conducting ethically questionable research on human composting. In need of a trustworthy assistant, she hires Mateus, unaware that he too harbors secrets and is searching for his missing father who had previously worked at the house. As they grow closer, Mateus discovers Dora's unconventional method and confronts her. However, Dora manages to lure him into her office in the Tree House.
