Argumento
In 'Angels in America', set amidst the AIDS crisis and socio-political changes of 1985 New York City, six interconnected lives are explored. Prior Walter (Justin Kirk), a gay man, learns he has AIDS and his lover Louis (Ben Shenkman) leaves him due to fear and guilt. Meanwhile, Joe Pitt (Patrick Wilson), a Mormon Republican attorney, struggles with his sexuality while being pushed towards a government job by right-wing fixer Roy Cohn (Al Pacino). Pitt's wife Harper (Mary-Louise Parker) is struggling with her sexless marriage and prescription drug addiction. Prior's illness progresses, but he finds solace in Belize (Jeffrey Wright), an ex-drag queen nurse, and his mother. An angel visits Prior, offering him a chance at prophecy upon his death.
