Argumento
In rural Tennessee, Lazarus, a God-fearing blues musician turned truck farmer, finds Rae, a young woman near death after being beaten and sexually abused by her boyfriend Ronnie's friend. Rae, a victim of childhood sexual abuse from her father and verbal abuse from her mother, has been looking for love in all the wrong places due to her troubled past. Lazarus nurses Rae back to health and provides her with fatherly advice while teaching her about blues music. Meanwhile, Ronnie misunderstands Lazarus' relationship with Rae and vows to kill him, but Lazarus calls his bluff and tries to help Ronnie as well.
