Historia
Anne Benton (Jodie Foster), an artist, witnesses a Mafia hit while working at her studio late one night. She calls the police but realizes at the station that there's a corrupt cop among them who would expose her to the mob. Anne flees, switching identities town by town to hide from Milo (Dennis Hopper), the chief assassin sent after her. The police want Anne to testify against the Mafia, while the mob wants her dead. Milo becomes captivated by Anne and decides not to kill her but instead helps her evade both the cops and the crooks. Together they go on the run, trying to decide who to trust and who to love.
Resumen
Catchfire (1990) is a blend of action, drama, comedy, romance, and thriller genres directed by Alan Smithee (under the pseudonym 'Pat Fine') with Dennis Hopper appearing as an actor-director. The film revolves around Jodie Foster's character Anne Benton becoming entangled in Mafia affairs after witnessing a mob assassination. Despite its genre-blending approach, the plot is primarily driven by suspense and action, as Anne evades both law enforcement and criminals while trying to protect herself from Milo, who finds himself drawn to her.
