After serving six years in prison, Daryl Allen (Bokeem Woodbine) is released and finds himself struggling to adapt to his new life. His mother has died, his girlfriend is now married, and he can't find a job. During a robbery gone wrong, he meets Vanessa (N'Bushe Wright), who saves him from being shot by her former lover Ahmad, a Jamaican mobster seeking revenge.
