To find closure and uncover the truth about her vanishing, he enlists the help of a Haitian witch doctor and his sister-in-law. The trio seeks to empower the witch doctor to conduct the wife's spirit. However, they unwittingly awaken entities of past victims trapped in Purgatory who are desperate to collect fresh souls to escape.
