Set in Melbourne during the mid-1970s, 'Cut Snake' follows Sparra Farrell (Alex Russell), an ex-convict trying to build a new life for himself after his release from prison. He has found honest work and even become engaged to Paula (Jessica McNamee). However, Sparra's past is about to catch up with him when his former cellmate, the enigmatic and charismatic Pommie (Sullivan Stapleton), tracks him down upon his own release. Pommie's arrival threatens Sparra's new life as he finds himself drawn back towards their shared criminal past.
