Argumento
Antoine, a young shepherd, leaves his new bride Thérèse after their marriage to go skiing with his uncle Séraphin up the mountain behind their village of Derborence. Nine weeks later, an avalanche buries them both. Antoine miraculously survives and returns home to find that his wife is now pregnant. Despite everyone believing Séraphin dead, Antoine becomes convinced that his uncle has also survived and resolves to go back up the mountain to look for him.

Resumen
