Argumento
In the summer of 1963, 17-year-old Frances 'Baby' Houseman and her family vacation at a resort in the Catskill Mountains. Expecting a dull summer, Baby finds herself drawn to Johnny Castle, the charismatic dance instructor at the resort. Despite their different backgrounds, they share a mutual attraction and begin a secret relationship. When Johnny's dance partner needs an abortion, Baby lies to her father to get money for it. After filling in as Johnny's dance partner and performing a successful dance routine together, they fall in love. However, when Baby's father finds out about their affair and the illegal abortion he funded unknowingly, he forbids Baby from seeing Johnny again. Undeterred, Baby sneaks out to meet Johnny, leading to them consummating their relationship. The next day, a jealous fellow vacationer frames Johnny for theft, causing him to lose his job at the resort.
