Argumento
Daniel arrives in Italy with his girlfriend Clara under the guise of a vacation, but his true purpose is to investigate Coppola, also known as 'The Sandman'. Daniel becomes drawn into an affair with Coppola's daughter Olympia and finds himself entangled in a mysterious conspiracy that involves a repressed childhood memory.

E.T.A. Hoffmanns Der Sandmann (1993) is a horror mystery film directed by Eckhart Schmidt, loosely based on E.T.A. Hoffmann's short story 'The Sandman'.
