Historia
What if the Surrealists were living today, in Berlin? Lexia, a Bosnian vagabond, comes to Berlin to become an artist. But she finds what she's never had. A family. Elixir is a story about love, art and fear.
Resumen
In Berlin today, Surrealists thrive in a decaying commune called the Glasshouse. After decades of pushing art's boundaries, these luminaries grapple with a city that wants them gone and an art world sold to the highest bidder. Among them is Jacques, their founder, now elderly but undeterred. Into this volatile mix arrives Lexia, a Bosnian drifter seeking refuge and inspiration in Berlin. As she navigates her new home, she finds unexpected belonging and artistic kindling.
Jacques' passing sparks a crisis. In response, the remaining Surrealists plan one last daring act: crashing punk pioneer Malcolm's fashion show. But their scheme is disrupted by an uninvited guest—Lexia—and the betrayals that fester beneath their radical facades. As their dream of leaving Berlin a changed city begins to unravel, Lexia discovers her true calling: not just as an artist, but also as the family they never knew they needed. 'Elixir' is a tale of love, art, and fear, set against the backdrop of Berlin's tumultuous art scene.
