Historia
A struggling playwright named Bertrand Valade steals the manuscript of a dying client, allowing him to masquerade as a successful playwright and secure an apartment in Paris. However, his charade begins to crumble when his producer demands a new play. In desperation, Bertrand attends a rehearsal of his hit play while it's touring the provinces, where he meets Eva, a high-class call girl who becomes his obsession. Their encounter takes place during a violent snowstorm in which Bertrand seeks shelter at a chalet.
