Argumento
Lulu McAfee, a woman living with schizophrenia in a San Francisco group home, leaves for Los Angeles in June 1999 to reconnect with her college sweetheart, Ben Clifton. She reveals that they have a son who was given up for adoption sixteen years ago. Despite his unhappiness in his marriage to Claire, a psychiatrist, and his job writing for television, Ben agrees to drive Lulu to Wisconsin to meet their supposed son on his sixteenth birthday.
