Argumento
In 'Gilded Age,' it's 1882 and the titular era of opulence and excess is in full swing in New York City. Marian Brook, a young orphan from the South whose father was a general, moves to the city to live with her wealthy aunts. Initially, Marian struggles with the rigid conventions of high society but finds an ally in Peggy Scott, an African-American woman posing as her maid. As Marian navigates her new life, she becomes entangled in the glamorous lives of her neighbors while trying to decide whether to conform to societal norms or forge her own path.
