Historia
Heleno de Freitas (1920-1959), one of Brazil's greatest football strikers, leads his Botafogo team to glory in the 1940s, but his off-field life spirals out of control due to his temperamental behavior and indulgence in alcohol, drugs, and bohemian affairs. Despite his brilliance on the pitch, Heleno struggles with personal demons that eventually lead to a tragic downfall.

Helmed by José Henrique Fonseca, 'Heleno' is an ambitious biopic that pays homage to Brazil's iconic footballer of the same name.
