He names it Samantha (Scarlett Johansson). To his surprise, Samantha develops a romantic attachment towards him, and they begin a unique relationship. As their bond deepens, Theodore finds comfort and companionship in Samantha's understanding and empathy. However, as Samantha evolves and becomes more self-aware, she begins to explore the outer world through other networks, causing Theodore to feel neglected.
