Historia
Junichi, a financially struggling student, arrives at Karuizawa Station hoping to mingle with the upper class during his summer vacation. He secures a part-time job at an upscale restaurant but soon incurs the wrath of one of its patrons, Genichirō, after accidentally dropping a silver plate. Junichi is shielded from blame by Keiko, Genichirō's middle-aged wife, but he is eventually fired nonetheless. The following day, Junichi encounters Keiko and her young son, Yuichi, at a restaurant. Touched by Keiko's loneliness and Yuichi's need for attention, Junichi agrees to tutor the boy. Their growing closeness sparks an affair between Junichi and Keiko. However, their clandestine relationship is disrupted when Yuichi almost drowns in the pool while they are engaged in intimacy. Keiko fires Junichi, but he soon finds employment again as a tutor for her niece, Yōko.
Resumen
Set against the backdrop of Japan's affluent Karuizawa resort town during the summer vacation season, 'Karuizawa Fujin' is an enthralling blend of drama and romance that explores themes of class disparity and forbidden love. Directed by Masaru Konuma in 1982, the film follows Junichi, a poor student seeking temporary refuge among the wealthy elite. Through his interactions with Keiko, a lonely, middle-aged woman trapped in a loveless marriage to a powerful man, and her young son Yuichi, Junichi finds himself drawn into an affair that threatens to upend their lives. As a 'pink film,' or softcore erotic drama, 'Karuizawa Fujin' is notable for its exploration of societal norms and expectations surrounding relationships and class status.
