Historia
La belle et la belle follows Margaux, a 25-year-old woman living a carefree but unsatisfying life filled with frequent one-night stands. At a party, she meets another Margaux, who is 20 years her senior. Both women are taking the same train to Lyon at 6:57 AM the next morning, and on this journey, the younger Margaux encounters Marc, her still handsome ex-boyfriend from five years ago. The older Margaux also knows Marc intimately, leading to a complicated love triangle between the two Margauxs and Marc.
Resumen
Directed by Sophie Fillières, La belle et la belle is a unique blend of comedy, drama, romantic comedy, and science fiction that explores themes of identity, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships. The film revolves around an intriguing concept: what would happen if one were to meet their older self? This question drives the narrative as Margaux navigates her encounters with her elder counterpart and Marc.
