Historia
Police commissioner Santamaria investigates the murder of architect Mr. Garrone, a mysterious death that leads him into Torino's high society. He becomes suspicious of Anna Carla and finds himself falling in love with her despite his suspicions. Meanwhile, Lello, Massimo's lover (Massimo being Anna Carla's platonic gay friend), conducts his own investigation, which confusingly contradicts Santamaria's findings. The situation becomes further complicated when another murder occurs.
Resumen
La donna della domenica is a 1975 French-Italian comedy-drama film directed by Luigi Comencini, based on the novel of the same name by the Italian author Natalia Ginzburg. The story unfolds as a whimsical mystery set against the backdrop of Torino's high society, exploring themes of love, suspicion, and the blurred lines between them. The film is notable for its exploration of homosexual themes, albeit in a more subtle manner than typical for films of its era.
