Historia
Jack Baker, an ambitious academic, travels to Tahiti to write yet another biography of Paul Gauguin. His plans are disrupted by Cohn, a charming but deceitful local con man who has been tormenting the island's inhabitants for years without consequence. Initially, Jack is annoyed by Cohn, but they eventually become friends after it's revealed that Cohn owns an authentic Gauguin painting.
