Historia
Recently retired DEA agent John Hatcher returns to his Chicago hometown, only to find it infested with drugs, particularly Jamaican drug lord Screwface's operation. After a chance encounter where Hatcher takes down some of Screwface's men, the gang leader retaliates by attempting to kill Hatcher's sister Melissa and her daughter Tracy. This forces Hatcher out of retirement. Teaming up with his old friends, local football coach Max and Jamaican Chicago cop Charles, they set out to take down Screwface's empire. However, their mission becomes increasingly dangerous as they uncover Screwface's voodoo practices and the full extent of his criminal network, leading to a dramatic showdown in Jamaica.
Resumen
Directed by Dwight H. Little, 'Marked for Death' is a vibrant yet tragic action thriller from 1990. Starring Steven Seagal as John Hatcher, the film explores themes of family protection, retirement's uncertain peace, and the relentless nature of drug-related violence. With its Jamaican gangland backdrop, voodoo-inspired elements, and Seagal's signature aikido fight scenes, it offers a compelling blend of action, drama, and suspense. Despite some clichéd plot points, 'Marked for Death' delivers an intense, aggressive portrayal of a retired DEA agent drawn back into the dangerous world he thought he'd left behind.
