Argumento
In the Yorkshire countryside, Mona, a tomboy from a working-class family, meets Tamsin, an exotic and pampered girl who has recently moved to the area with her adulterous father. Despite their initial differences, Mona introduces Tamsin to her born-again Christian brother Phil and helps her spy on her father's affairs, sealing their friendship. As they spend more time together, Mona and Tamsin become inseparable, sharing secrets and entering into a relationship that deepens emotionally and physically. However, their bond is threatened by Mona's distrust of Tamsin's sincerity and Phil's religious fervor, which he tries to impose upon Mona. The film charts thevolatile dynamics of their friendship as they struggle with love, faith, and betrayal one summer.
