NEON HEART follows three characters as they navigate life's complexities and taboos. Laura returns to Denmark after abandoning her porn career in America. She struggles to rebuild a normal life despite her past videos remaining online. Niklas, Laura's former boyfriend, finds purpose caring for two men with Down syndrome at a group home. Initially rigid in his approach, he begins to empathize with them and bend rules leading him down an uncertain path. Meanwhile, Niklas' teenage brother Frederik seeks respect as a hooligan, grappling with peer pressure and the demands of masculine bravado. The film interweaves their stories across past and present, tracing connections formed and broken amidst societal taboos and personal desires.
