Historia
In late '90s Toronto, Chester (Chester Brown), a committed but introverted cartoonist, is in a long-term relationship with Sonny. This unexpected journey helps him uncover aspects of himself and his sexuality that he hadn't previously known existed.
Resumen
'Paying for It' is a 2024 Canadian comedy-drama directed by Sook-Yin Lee, based on cartoonist Chester Brown's autobiographical graphic novel of the same name. The film offers a unique perspective on relationships, intimacy, and self-discovery through its portrayal of Chester's experiences with prostitution in turn-of-the-millennium Toronto. Intertwined with Lee's own story, 'Paying for It' subtly explores themes of sexuality, communication, and personal growth, captured with humor and candor.
