Historia
In 'Rapa Nui', inter-tribal rivalry between the Long Ears and Short Ears leads to a competition to erect a giant statue (moai) in record time on Easter Island. A warrior from the ruling class, Make, falls in love with a girl from the lower class while trying to win the race for his tribe's honor. The prize for winning is to rule the island for a year. Meanwhile, there's a separate race to retrieve the egg of a Sooty Tern, which could grant power over the island if won.
Resumen
Directed by Kevin Reynolds in 1994, 'Rapa Nui' is an adventure drama loosely based on Easter Island legends. The film explores themes of inter-tribal rivalry, love across social divides, and environmental strain due to demands for larger Moai statues. It's a tale of passion and conflict set against the backdrop of ancient island culture.
