Historia
Penny Slot (Rena Riffel), a Las Vegas stripper, embarks on an ambitious journey to become the star dancer on a dance television show. Despite her determination and natural talent, Penny lacks formal training, which leads her boyfriend, James 'Jimmy' Smith (Glenn Plummer), to encourage her to take ballet classes to improve her technique. Throughout her pursuit of stardom, Penny faces challenges and dangers in a town that's more treacherous than Sin City itself. Along the way, she becomes entangled in a love triangle that threatens to derail her dreams.
Resumen
Directed by Rena Riffel, 'Showgirls 2: Penny's from Heaven' (2011) is an independent film that serves as a sequel to the controversial 1995 movie 'Showgirls.' While not officially connected to the original, this film explores similar themes of ambition, sex work, and the price of fame. Unlike its predecessor, however, 'Penny's from Heaven' has a more comedic tone and focuses on Penny Slot's quest for dance stardom rather than navigating the cutthroat world of strip clubs.
