Argumento
John Truscott travels to Borneo to work with the Iban people as part of the British colonial government. Upon his arrival, he is given a 'sleeping dictionary,' an local woman named Selima who is meant to help him learn their language and culture. As they spend time together, John develops feelings for Selima despite knowing that relationships between locals and British officials are forbidden.
