Historia
Dr. Jean Markham returns to her hometown in Scotland to take over her late father's medical practice. When Lydia's son Charlie gets into a schoolyard fight and needs medical attention, Lydia brings him to see Dr. Markham. Jean, remembering how she used to tell her secrets to the bees as a child, invites Charlie to visit her garden hives, hoping it might help him cope with his bullying at school. This new friendship between Jean and the boy brings his mother Lydia into Jean's life. When Lydia and Charlie are evicted due to Lydia's insufficient earnings from her work, Jean extends an invitation for them to stay in her home.
