Samantha Rollins, an author seeking solitude, retreats to an old lakefront cabin. Unbeknownst to her, the cabin harbors an unhappy presence and holds secrets from a decades-old murder. While cleaning up, she discovers a trunk containing love letters, photos, and an antique Underwood typewriter. Nights are plagued by recurring dreams about the people in the photos, revealing a dark past involving the cabin. Each morning, Samantha finds her dreams typed out on the Underwood, helping her uncover who's responsible for the tragic event. As she gets closer to revealing the truth, she realizes that the killer is still active and targeting her.
