In the former, a Muslim fundamentalist named Yusuf kidnaps progressive Islamic scholar Maajid with the intention of killing him due to his liberal views. Meanwhile, in India's capital, closeted lesbian Bhairavi captures her bisexual lover, Leila, intending to marry her against her will. The subsequent struggles and violence bring forth intense conflicts between identities and repression.
