Historia
XXY follows Alex, an intersex individual who was assigned male at birth but identifies as female. The story begins with Alex's parents separating, and her mother moving them to a coastal town in Uruguay to start a new life. Alex is struggling with her identity and the changes in her body due to hormone replacement therapy. She has been living as a girl for some time but faces internal conflict about her true identity. When her mother invites an old friend, ALICIA, who is now a doctor, to stay with them, Alicia brings her teenage son, MERCUTIO. Alex feels an immediate attraction towards Mercutio, and they begin a sexual relationship. However, their relationship becomes complicated when Alex's body starts to show signs of masculinity due to the hormonal imbalance caused by her therapy being discontinued. The story then revolves around Alex's struggle with her identity and her relationships with Mercutio and her mother.
