Leslie Harter Zemeckis, born Leslie Harter, is a renowned actress, author, and documentarian known for her work in unearthing and celebrating the stories of marginalized female entertainers from early 20th-century America. She has written several books including 'Behind the Burly Q', an oral history of burlesque, and 'Goddess of Love Incarnate'; the Life of Stripteuse Lili St. Cyr'. Her latest book, 'Feuding Fan Dancers', explores the lives of Sally Rand and Faith Bacon during the golden age of showgirls.
