Historia

Pascale, married and traveling to London, misses her flight and stays at the Kleinhoff Hotel in Berlin where she used to live as a student. In the adjoining room lives Karl, a would-be revolutionary who Pascale spies on through a hole while he's with his ex-girlfriend. Intrigued by him, she follows Karl one night but gets caught up in a police raid targeting revolutionists and is arrested. Upon returning to the hotel, Pascale finds Karl crying in his room. She enters to console him, leading to an affair between them. The next morning, however, Karl commits suicide while Pascale is asleep. Upon waking, she calmly dresses and leaves the hotel.
