Kirsten Caroline Dunst, born April 30, 1982, is an American actress who began her career in films such as 'New York Stories' (1989) and gained recognition for roles like Claudia in 'Interview with the Vampire' (1994). She transitioned to leading roles in teen films like 'Dick' (1999), 'Bring It On' (2000), and played Mary Jane Watson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy (2002-2007). Notable performances include her role as Marie Antoinette in Coppola's film of the same name (2006), earning critical acclaim for her role in 'Melancholia' (2011) at Cannes Film Festival, and a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in 'On Becoming a God in Central Florida' (2019). Argumento
Melancholia follows Justine (Kirsten Dunst) and Michael as they celebrate their wedding at Claire's estate. Despite Claire's efforts, the wedding reception goes awry due to family tensions. Meanwhile, a rogue planet called Melancholia approaches Earth, causing fear among those who learn of its impending impact.
