Historia
Selfie follows popular and successful writer Bogdanov who finds himself replaced by his double in his TV-show, social life, and even intimate relations. This doppelgänger has taken over Bogdanov's life so seamlessly that no one suspects the change. Bogdanov realizes his predicament when he sees his double on screen, mimicking his gestures and mannerisms perfectly. Struggling to regain his identity and career, Bogdanov finds himself in a battle against an adversary who seems better and more sincere than him. The only person who believes him and wants the real Bogdanov back is his daughter.
Resumen
Selfie is a 2018 Russian thriller directed by Nikolay Khomeriki. The film explores themes of identity, career obsession, and the struggle to maintain one's authenticity in a world where appearance can be deceivingly identical to reality. With its focus on a successful writer replaced by his double, Selfie presents a thought-provoking narrative that blurs the lines between self-perception and public image.
