Marina is a Brazilian - Italian actress/ performer/theatre maker that was born in Rio de Janeiro. Daughter of two engineers, Marina has Italian citizenship from her grandmother from her mother's side, mixed with a grandfather from Ceará, northeast of Brail. From her dad's side, her grandmother is from Mato Grosso, in the west of the country. At age four, Marina moved to Wales-UK with her parents and brother, and started learning English, she first learned how to write in English. Throughout her life, she went to live in many other countries. She lived in Italy at the age of sixteen, studying in a Italian Liceo, learning the language and her family's culture. Also lived in Australia, Berlin, and Amsterdam. At Rio she attended a German school, where by the age of 10 she started having her first theatre lessons. At the age of 14, she entered the theatre Improvisation school O Tablado, in Rio de Janeiro. In 2009 she graduated in Cinema at the Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro. She did many workshops, singing and dancing classes, and in 2011 joined a Theatre Company called Foguetes Maravilha. In 2013 she interned at The Wooster Group, theatre company from NY. Having worked with different theatre directors from Brazil and from abroad, Marina had her debut in Cinema in 2014 with the film "A Frente Fria que a Chuva Traz" from director Neville D'Almeida that premiered in 2015 at the Rio International Film Festival. In 2015 she played in "O Grande Circo Místico", from acclaimed Brazilian director Carlos Diegues that premiered in Cannes Film Festival 2018. In 2016 she played the leading part in "Mormaço", from Brazilian director Marina Meliande, which had it's premier in the Hivos Tiger Competition, at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam 2018. Also in 2016 she played in the movie "Legaliza Já!" from Brazilian directors João Araújo and Gustavo Bonafé. In 2018 she played the leading female part for the movie "Aumenta que é Rock'n'Roll" directed by Tomás Portella. Marina also worked for TV series such as "Bom dia, Verônica" (2020), "Todas as Mulheres do Mundo" (2020), "Call me Bruna" (2016) , a production for Fox Latin America directed by Marcia Faria, "Só Garotas" (2013) directed by Maria Flor and "A Grande Família" (2013) directed by Luiz Felipe Sá.
