Historia
Ernstfall in Havanna follows Stefan Balsiger, a Swiss embassy councilor in Havana who finds himself at the center of an international crisis due to his ineptitude. When he accompanies an American senator on a diplomatic mission, things quickly spiral out of control. His mistakes cause what should have been a minor incident to escalate into a second Cuban Missile Crisis, with media, police, and diplomats from both Cuba and the USA getting involved. As the situation becomes increasingly tense, it's up to Stefan to salvage the situation before it gets completely out of hand.
Resumen
Ernstfall in Havanna is a comedy-drama directed by Swiss filmmaker Sabine Boss, released in 2002. The film provides a satirical take on international politics and diplomacy, using the character of Stefan Balsiger as a catalyst for escalating tensions between Cuba and the USA. Through his bumbling missteps, Boss highlights the absurdity of political tensions and the potential danger of minor incidents spiraling out of control. Despite its serious subject matter, Ernstfall in Havanna offers a comedic perspective on international relations, making it a unique exploration of politics and diplomacy.
