Katherine Armstrong is an American actress who gained recognition in the early 1990s for her roles in independent cinema and television. She is perhaps best known to cult film fans for her performance as Christie in the 1990 science fiction thriller Crash and Burn, produced by Full Moon Features. In the film, she portrayed a resilient survivor trapped in a remote TV station, delivering one of the movie's most memorable and dramatic scenes.
Following her breakout in the sci-fi genre, Armstrong transitioned into various film projects, appearing in the thriller Ambition (1991) and the action film Street Soldiers (1991). In a dystopian future where Unicom, a powerful organization, oversees most of the world and has banned computers and robots in pursuit of economic stability, a Unicom Synth robot infiltrates a remote southwest TV station broadcasting anti-Unicom messages. After killing the manager who is a known revolutionary against Unicom's gestapo-like rule, the rebels at the station must defend themselves against this android assassin to survive through an impending 'thermal storm'. A lowly Unicom delivery man gets drawn into helping them fight back.
