Historia

Eros presents three interconnected stories about love, desire, and sexuality. The first segment, 'Intervista,' directed by Michelangelo Antonioni, follows a middle-aged advertising executive in Hong Kong who regularly visits his psychiatrist due to stress-induced erotic dreams. His sessions delve into the possible reasons behind these dreams, revealing a complex history of unrequited love and repressed desires dating back to his teenage years in the 1950s. Meanwhile, 'The Hand,' directed by Wong Kar-Wai, is set in the same era but in Hong Kong's vibrant red-light district. It tells the tale of Wong Chi-Ming, a young tailor who becomes obsessed with one of his clients, a beautiful and enigmatic high-end call girl named Yiu-ning, leading to an impossible affair between them. The final segment, 'Equilibrium,' directed by Steven Soderbergh, transports us to contemporary Tuscany where an older couple from Rome, Anna (Annarosa Mancinelli) and her husband Robert (Carlo Di Vaio), invite a young woman named Monica (Alba Rohrwacher) into their bed during their summer vacation. The trio engages in a menage-a-trois, exploring the boundaries of their desires while attempting to maintain emotional equilibrium.
