Full Biography
Ilfenesh Hadera, born in New York to Ethiopian refugee father Asfaha Hadera (founder of African Services Committee) and acupuncturist mother Kim Nicholas, graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She studied acting at Harlem School of Arts, worked with her father's committee, and had a decade-long stint as a waitress. Hadera resided with her parents until the age of 30.
