Bethany Orr, also known professionally as Effie Lavore, was born Bethany Love Orr on April 3, 1981, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Raised in a home-schooled environment with restricted media access, she discovered her passion for performing in high school and began her career as a young comedienne in local improv groups.
She is an American actress, writer, and filmmaker who gained widespread critical acclaim for her "fearless" and transformative lead performance as Jill in the 2015 psychological body-horror film "Excess Flesh". Her acting credits also include roles in major television series such as "Criminal Minds" (appearing as Bethany Orr) and "Stalker". In addition to her work in front of the camera, she has expanded into directing and producing, notably creating the short film "Agua Viva".
