Full Biography
Dorothy Stratten, born February 28, 1960, was a Canadian model and actress who rose to prominence as Playboy's 'Playmate of the Month' for August 1979 and later 'Playmate of the Year' in 1980. She appeared in three comedy films and at least two TV episodes. Tragically, Stratten was murdered by her estranged husband/manager Paul Snider on August 14, 1980, at the age of twenty. Her death inspired two motion pictures.
