"Jessica Hahn's journey into celebrity status commenced inauspiciously in 1987. Initially appearing as Jim Bakker's secretary who accused him, she was quietly paid $279,000 to maintain confidentiality, but upon breaking her silence, she inadvertently terminated the Bakers' ministry while concurrently launching her own screen career.
