Joanna Ber was born into the world of Polish cinema. She made her mark with "Szamanka" (1996), a horror film that, despite being in Polish, has left audiences worldwide uneasy. The film was notable for its explicit sexual content, which led to the leading actress abandoning her acting career. However, Joanna continued to flourish both on television and silver screen. Her most captivating performance came in "Pulapka" (1987), a crime comedy about an actor's return to Poland after years of struggle abroad, only to become entangled in a noir-like drama at home. While not as piercing as her debut role, Joanna's portrayal of the femme fatale is nonetheless memorable.
