Julia Meier is a German actress and singer known for her role as Isana 2 in the experimental drama Purpur (2020–2022), a film exploring discrimination and gender roles in the film industry. Born in 1989 and raised in Wuppertal, Germany, she performs under her birth name.
She received her professional training in acting, singing, and dancing at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Throughout her career, Meier has established a significant presence in the German theater scene, holding permanent engagements at the Schauburg München and, since the 2019/20 season, at Schauspiel Wuppertal. Beyond the stage and screen, she is a multi-award winner of the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin and a frequent voice actor for WDR and various audiobook productions.
