Lola Klamroth, born Lucia in 1904, led a simple life on Capri with her family until her father's death prompted her brother to arrange a marriage for financial gain. Instead, she joined a nudist colony of young North Europeans, where she fell under the spell of Seybu, their leader who taught her multiple languages. The local doctor Carlo pursued Lucia, leading to tension between him and Seybu over her affection. Eventually, Lucia grew bored and desired to return to her simpler lifestyle.
