Saoirse Una Ronan, born on April 12, 1994, is an American-born Irish actress primarily known for her work in period dramas since adolescence. She made her acting debut in the Irish medical drama series 'The Clinic' (2003) and gained international recognition with her breakthrough role as a precocious teenager in 'Atonement' (2007), earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress at age 13. Ronan has since appeared in notable films such as 'The Lovely Bones' (2009), 'Hanna' (2011), and 'Brooklyn' (2015), which earned her critical acclaim and another Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
