Biografía completa

Sofi Helleday, also known professionally as Sofi Ahlström Helleday, is an accomplished Swedish actress born on December 11, 1968, in Stockholm. Her career, spanning several decades, has primarily been rooted in the vibrant Swedish theatre scene, though she has also made notable appearances in film and television productions.

Helleday received her formal education at the prestigious Theatre Academy in Malmö, from which she graduated in 1995. Following her graduation, she became a prominent figure in Swedish regional theatre, working at esteemed institutions such as the Malmö Dramatic Theatre, the Gothenburg City Theatre, and the Stockholm City Theatre. Throughout her extensive stage career, she has collaborated with top Swedish directors, performing in a wide variety of plays.

Sofi Helleday's film debut came in the critically acclaimed 2000 comedy-drama Jalla! Jalla!, directed by Josef Fares. In the film, she played the role of Jenny, the girlfriend of the main character's best friend Måns (Torkel Petersson). The film was a significant success in Sweden and helped launch her wider screen career.

Following her debut, Helleday continued to balance her stage commitments with roles in various Swedish television series and films. Her filmography includes TV mini-series like De drabbade (2003) and Mannen under trappan (2009), as well as feature films such as We Are the Best! (2013) and Någon annanstans i Sverige (2011). One of her more recent prominent roles was as Carling in the 2021 TV series Knutby.

In recent years, Helleday has also ventured into teaching acting at the Stillerska filmgymnasiet. A significant personal development in her life occurred when she discovered her biological father's identity later in life, a journey she chronicled in her own 2023 documentary film Hemligheten (The Secret), directed by Viktor Nordenskiöld. The film explores the impact of this revelation on her family dynamics and her relationship with her mother.
