Biografía completa
Taylor Lianne Chandler is an author, activist, and consultant known for her advocacy for intersex and transgender rights. She gained public attention in 2014 when her relationship with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps was widely covered in the media, leading to her being publicly outed as intersex.
Born with both male genitalia and female ovaries, Chandler identifies as a transgender, "badass, rock star woman". The media scrutiny and cyberbullying following her being outed had a significant negative impact on her mental health, leading her to attempt suicide and relapse into anorexia.
After recovering, she reinvented her career and now runs her own company, TLC Consulting & Solutions, in Washington, D.C., which specializes in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training with a specific focus on LGBTQIA2S+ issues. She is a national speaker on gender rights and mental health advocacy, and has served on several local and national boards, including the Capital Pride Alliance and FLUX AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Chandler is also a published author, with a memoir titled Beyond The Gold. She has appeared in publications such as Glamour, Time, and Cosmopolitan.
