"Valerie Niehaus rose to prominence after appearing in Klaus Emmerich's social drama, 'Rote Erde', but her breakthrough role came when she was cast as the female lead in the soap opera 'Verbotene Liebe'. The initial plot revolved around Jan (Andreas Brucker) and Julia, unaware that they were siblings, beginning a romantic relationship. Despite this controversial storyline, Valerie remained grounded and left the series in 1997 to pursue acting studies at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute in New York for two years.
Upon her return to Germany, the striking blue-eyed blonde secured roles in cinematic releases such as 'St. Pauli Nacht' and 'Flashback', as well as high-profile TV productions like 'Die Frau, die Freundin und der Vergewaltiger', opposite Doreen Jacobi.
